Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been singing. If I stopped singing, my family would get worried. From the age of around 13, I have been writing songs and felt my job was to be a messenger – spreading the message of peace, love and connectedness.
After high school I thought I was going to pursue my music full time, And then suddenly felt called to study medicine. I find nature and our body incredibly fascinating and always care about how people feel. So, naturally I was thinking "How incredible would it be to be able to help and empower as many people as possible".
On my way to becoming a medical doctor, I quickly noticed the undeniable link between the health of us as individuals and the health of our environment; both regarding our family and work environments and the world as a whole with the obvious climate changes and increased toxic load in our environment, but also in regard to all the fear and conflicts in our world.
As mankind our body is the earth. And just like the cells in our body do a magnificent job every single day, keeping us healthy and alive, we need to know that we are all vital and unique cells in the organism of the Earth.
In our body, the cells are only as healthy and well-functioning as the environment they live in, and our health is determined by the state of each of the cells in our body. In the same way our individual health cannot be separated from our collective health and vice versa. This is true whether the collective health consists of the health of our family, our group of friends, our workplace, our city, our country, or the world as a whole.
I create Celtic inspired soul-folk music that has been a soundtrack for my own journey towards being the best version of myself, allowing me show up and use my voice, working towards my vision for a more sustainable world.
It has helped me and many others to embrace the vulnerability that is an unavoidable companion when committing to showing up in this world; contributing with everything we have got to create a loving family, an inspiring workplace or a thriving community. Finding the strength to be the change, we want to see in the world.
